Monday March 1 is the big day. Tim is finally going to get to use his therapy pool....everyday. Several local news media will be covering the story. One that we know of for sure is News channel 3 WWMT out of Kalamazoo. They will be taping or live broadcast at 5:oo from Tims Tub! The Zeeland Record, Grand Rapids Press also will have articles on Tim. So.....tune in to see or check back here on Tuesday for pictures of Tim using his therapy pool.

Everyone that has been involved in this process we would like to say a huge THANK-YOU to each and every one of you!!!!!!!!!!!

This was something that God placed on our hearts and minds. A tangible something that we could all do to help Tim strengthen his bones and ease the ache that goes along with all of his previous breaks. This was a process that God orchestrated and asked us to join in and follow him in seeing it to a completion. It is incredible to see what God can do, when we follow what he is asking us to do.

As of last night the room was cleaned and had a coat of primer on all of the walls . Today if all goes as planned we should have our first coat of blue paint on the walls!!! Hopefully there will be picks of that soon!

Right now we have multiple dehumidifiers going to dry out the room so the mud can dry. After the mud finishes drying the we get to paint!! we do have to wait around 2 weeks after painting to fill the pool so the paint can cure completely.

The new front and back doors are in place and all of the siding is up in the front of the room. We only need to put up siding on the back portion of the room. The heat is working, so the room is getting warm. Drywall is getting mudded this week in preparation for PAINT!!!! Everyday we are getting closer to filling the tub. Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who have been giving so much to help us finish this project.

Tims Tub is scheduled to arrive today at the Bosch's home. It will be set into the hole that is ready. (poured walls and cement floor).

So for all of you that have been wondering when you can help out.....the time is now. We will be building the room that surrounds the tub, and would love any help that you would like to give to the project. There are walls to be built, a roof to put up and shingle, siding to come down and siding to go up, decking to be constructed around the pool, finishing the interior.....and much more. If you have questions, you can call Deb at 616-688-5449. I will answer them or find the answers for you.

Here's a few pictures from this morning. yesterday the forms were poured and today they are pouring the walls which is one day earlier than we thought. the cement trucks are on their way there right now!! We made the guys pause for a moment to take a picture for us. Thanks for all your hard work guys!

Today we started digging!!!! all the cement is gone now its time to dig the hole. Hopefully on monday the footings will be poured and on wednesday poured walls! here are some pictures, there will be more coming for sure. We are so excited that this all happened so fast thanks again for all of your support.

Zager Pool called Tims mom today with the news that Tims Therapy Pool has been completed and it is now en route to Michigan. How exciting! YEAH.

Please pray for all that has to happen now to get the pool installed. Everything is supposed to begin this week. Excavating, poured walls and a cement slab will begin the work. God's hand has been so evident to all involved. Please join us as we pray for this to continue as we continue on this journey towards the completion of Tims Tub

Hey there everyone!

Sorry it's been a bit of a wait, but we were working out some little details! However, we are overwhelmed with joy and excitement over here because of everything God has done for this whole Tim's Tub Project and the awesome support we have received from all of you! We just wanted to update everyone because we know the curiosity that is going on :)

First of all, thank you to everyone who came out to Cafe 58 on September 30 for our Spaghetti Dinner and Chinese Auction! Awesome! we ended the night with just over $7,000 so Praise God!!! thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Second, thank you to everyone who came out this past Monday to Crazy Horse for our final fundraiser!!! we raised about 800 dollars that night too! so thank you thank you again!

All of us on Tim's Tub Team went together on Monday to Crazy Horse to have our last "meeting" and celebrate how far we have come and to just talk with each other about how awesome God has been and how we have seen Him lead us every single step through this whole journey. we are in awe of everything God has done. We gave the pen to God to write out this Tim's Tub Project story, and He has shown us what He can do with it! We started out a little nervous because it's a huge thing to have us little people try and raise a ton of money for the therapy tub, but we soon realized that we just had to trust. Trust that if we put forth all of our effort and do the best we can, that God would do the rest. So we trusted, and He saw us through!

so it is with many happy tears, many praises and much appreciation to our brothers and sisters in Christ that we tell you.......

Hey there everyone!
It's been a while! Just to let everyone know, we are in the process of planning for our next fund-raiser. September 30 is the date, and Cafe 58 in the old Zeeland Hospital is the place, so please come if you can! We are going to have a great night, beginning at 5, we are going to be having a spaghetti supper along with some live music and a Chinese Auction with some awesome items up for grabs, including gift cards to some great places, and IPOD, lawn care services, gift baskets and many more exciting things! We hope you will be able to make it and if anyone has anything they would like to donate we are always accepting donations :) There will be more updates as we continue to plan this event and we will let you know more as the time comes closer.

ALSO, we wanted to let everyone know about our last fund-raiser that Crazy Horse is working with us on. On October 5, Crazy Horse is going to donate 10% of profits from 3-close to Tim's Tub. Also, all of the dollar bills in the North Fireplace room will be going to Tim's Tub. We have seen God's hand in everything since the beginning. He put it in our minds the plan to try and help give Tim Bosch this therapy pool. God has certainly led us every step of the way and we have been and continue to be blown away at what He is doing. It's amazing what happens when you take a leap of faith and put all trust in Him. He has shown us what He can do when we take a step back and let Him direct our steps. So thank you again for all the support that has been giving and will be given in these next few weeks. How amazing was tonight? Beyond what we expected, we were hoping for a good turnout but we were blown away by how much support was given tonight and how many people showed up to help!! God is SO good and what we all were a part of tonight was exactly what the Kingdom of God is and what heaven is going to be like! The community surrounding Tim and the willingness in your hearts to help brings happy tears!! So thank you all for being Christs' witnessess tonight, we really and truly have seen God every step of this journey and were not disappointed tonight! God is SO good.. all the time.. and all the time GOD IS GOOD!!!

Tomorrow Is The Day!!

We hope everyone is getting excited as we are for tomorrow night! From an idea a few of us had to help out Tim and another few of us knowing he needed a therapy tub to here and now, and we can't believe how amazing this journey has been so far! And God has provided in more ways than we could have even thought already, and we haven't even had our first fundraiser yet! Just a few reminders for tomorrow....

Not only are all the funds going towards Tim's Tub from 6-9pm, but ALL day. Since the minute the Soft Spot opens EVERY dollar made will be going towards the tub, so even if you can't make it from 6-9, come for lunch or before if you can and you can still help us out! So from 11am until close all the money is Tim's Tub money! So come when you can!

Tim's story is an incredible story, and even on this blog we have just touched the surface, and so tomorrow there is an opportunity to meet Tim and get to know him a little more if you don't him very well, and after talking with him you will understand why we all love him so much and want to help him!

A Little More...

Tim Bosch loves the Lord with all his heart and the faith he has in His God is incredible. Although his life is not an easy one, he lives it with a smile, courage, and optimism, which is something that people with strong bones often lack. At 13 years old, he has shown more strength than grown adults, and he has influenced and touched almost everyone that he has ever met with his positive life outlook, even though life is often not so positive for him. And so that is exactly why we want to help him and we want you to be involved too!

The pictures you see are of Tim trying the tub that we want to get for him. The company filled it just for him to try to see if it would work for him. If you saw the look on his face when it was shown to him, tears may have filled your eyes. it has already been shown how much it would help him. that is simply what we want. to help him. So join us in this journey in helping Tim by giving him this tub, which we think he not only needs, but deserves simply because Tim has touched so many lives, and now we want to try and help him out for all the joy he has brought to our lives by just being Tim!

Tim's Story

Let me tell you a story about an incredible young man. Tim is 13 years old. He loves the Lord with all his heart and the faith he has in His God is incredible.

However, Tim's story in not a simple story.

Tim was born on October 14, 1995 to Kevin and Deb Bosch. He is the fourth child born to them. The others are Chris, Erika and Allison, the youngest being 1 ½ when Tim was born.

The interesting thing about Tim was that he was born with a dozen broken bones caused by birth alone, but after looking closer they found that he also had over a dozen breaks that had already healed when he was in the womb before he was born.

Tim was diagnosed with an extremely severe case Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) or more commonly known as brittle bone disease. Doctors said that Tim's bones looked like honeycomb.....more holes than bone. What bone was there was very brittle.

The doctors told Kevin and Deb that Tim would not live to be 1 years old.

During Tim's first year of life he was carried around on a pillow because he was so fragile. He would break just having his diaper changed. Tim had Clothes were made to snap around him so that he did not need to be moved to be dressed. They couldn't even hold Tim to burp him or to cuddle him because he would break.

Through many tears, prayers and research they were able to find a hospital in Montreal Canada that was treating OI kids.

Tim started receiving experimental treatments for OI patients and his bone density began to improve.

We celebrated Tim's first birthday!!

At 3 ½ yrs Tim first stood with braces

At 4 ½ yrs he learned to walk with a walker

At 6 yrs he took his first steps on his own.

INCREDIBLE. A miracle provided by God alone!

Tim has had over 400 broken bones (we are no longer counting) and has had over 40 major surgeries.

Tim has 6 rods in his limbs. Both legs from his ankle to his knee and from the knee to the hip. Also both upper arms from the elbow to the shoulder. These help to prevent his bones from breaking, but they also have bent inside his bone when a limb has broken causing extreme pain until they can be removed or straightened. Not just the pain of a broken bone, but the pain of the bent rod too. These rods go through the center of Tim's bones.

Tim has a very high tolerance for pain. His mom knows that if he is asking for medicine it is usually a bad sign that he is broken. Many times his pain can get so severe that maximum medicine dosages cannot take the pain away.

When the weather turns cold, Tim's bones ache even more because of the 100's of breaks and many surgeries that he has had. To be able to get into a therapy tub would be an awesome pain reliever for him.

Every time Tim breaks he goes backwards as his bone density decreases because he looses his ability to be mobile.

Bottom line: Tim needs to get stronger. Tim needs to strengthen his bones. The only way he can do this is by using them. But, when you have had over 400 breaks in 13 years there is not a lot of time to do this. Even when Tim is broke he would be able to use this pool providing him with some exercise for his bones too, possibly maintain the density instead of loosing his bone density. Being in the water is many times the only thing he can do besides sitting in his chair because he can put his bones and muscles to use and not put any weight on them if he is the water, and that is really what he needs.

The Bosch's owned a swimming pool where Tim was able to do much therapy in during the summertime, but this past spring it broke. He's not able to do any more physical therapy on his own at home anymore, which means that his bones and body are getting weaker and weaker. The only way that Tim will be able to regain and maintain his physical progress is to get into a pool again.

Throughout the summer, ideas have been brought onto many peoples hearts to help Tim and the rest of his family out and raise money towards a physical therapy tub, Tim's Tub, so that he can use it during the summer months AND the winter months to help him regain his strength and bone density. Doing this will continue Tim's progress and he will never have the chance to go backwards during the winter or when he is broken like he does now. Tim's bones will get stronger and stronger, which is what he needs right now!
